AI, for the rest of us
So nothing falls through the cracks.
For ADHD brains. A notebook and an AI assistant that remember where you put things.
One payment. Runs on free tools. Set up in an hour.
Assistive, not directive.
Supportive, not generative.
It remembers, sorts, labels and checks. It does not make your art, your music or your decisions. You take the picture, you paint the painting, you type the password. Those stay yours.
A way to get the basics down. There is no fancy hardware to buy. No trial software, no spyware, no shareware, no pay to play. It is a basic system, but it works.
The ADHD tax
If your brain drops things, you already know what it costs. The late fee on the bill you meant to pay. The form you started three times. The birthday you remembered a day late. The hour gone looking for the thing that was in your hand a minute ago.
People call it the ADHD tax. I pay it too. You do not need a diagnosis to pay it; a hard enough month will do.
This kit will not change how your brain works, and you should be wary of anything that says it will. It is a system you will want to use every day. It catches what your brain drops, and hands it back when you need it.
Lived experience, not medical advice. If ADHD is making life hard, a doctor is the right first call. This is the notebook you bring to the appointment.
What it's done for me
I pay the ADHD tax too
The late fees. The email I meant to send last week. The job I never started because I couldn't see where it began. That's the tax. This is the system I built to pay less of it.
One list. Every morning. That's where it starts.
One short list of only what's mine to act on, one line each. Anything I need to send sits ready right under its line. When it's done, I tick it and strike it through. That little win is why I come back every day.
What it does for me, every day
- iIt drafts the email I've been dreading. I read every word before it goes. A hard email that would have sat for a week went out calm and clear in ten minutes.
- iiIt turns a big job into one page. I decided to close my own pool. One printed page: what to buy, and thirteen steps in order. I stopped freezing and started.
- iiiIt picks up where I left off. Every session starts by reading yesterday's notes, so I never have to explain my life twice.
- ivIt keeps my record. When I say something that matters, it's filed in my own words, dated.
- vIt runs my day like a crew runs a ship. The day opens and closes with a short check-in: what's done, what's carried, what's next. Nothing gets left behind, because everything lives in one place. And it checks its own work before it tells me something is done.
What it's really given me
Less stress. I live a calmer life now, because I know I have a system I can rely on. I don't have to hold it all in my head anymore.
Why I actually use it
A system only works if you use it. So we built one you'll want to use: it asks for nothing you can't give. You talk; it sorts, reminds, drafts and checks. You keep every decision. And when you're overwhelmed, it goes gentle.
What it isn't
It isn't treatment, and it doesn't replace medication or any care you get from a professional. It won't make your art for you. It pays some of the tax, so you have more of yourself left for the things only you can do.
Assistive, not directive.
Supportive, not generative.
The rest of it
Most people have met AI by now. They have asked it to settle an argument, or tidy up a post. Then they closed it.
That is about a tenth of what it is for. Nobody explains the rest.
The rest is your ordinary week. The renewal you keep meaning to check. The message you have not answered. The thing you promised someone in March.
Never Lose the Plot is the bridge between you and an assistant that holds all of that for you.
What changes
Before, you ask AI to write an email to your landlord, and it asks you what to say.
After, you ask it to write that email to Brian, and it already knows. The leak in the back bedroom. The call on the 11th. The man who never came. It even remembers you hate sounding rude.
Nothing clever happened. It just read your notes.
The whole product is that sentence. Everything else here is the setup that makes it true on an ordinary Tuesday.
What you will use it for
- iWhere was I? Come back to anything after days away and it tells you where you stopped and what is next.
- iiThe message you have been putting off. The complaint, the apology, the awkward reply. A first draft in your own voice, ready for you to fix and send.
- iiiMaking sense of a document. The letter from the city. Eleven pages of insurance terms. Ask what it actually says.
- ivTurning a ramble into a list. Talk for two minutes. Get back a list, with the urgent things at the top.
- vCatching a thought before it is gone. Say it into your phone in the car. File it later.
- viNot missing the appointment. Write it down once, with the date. Your morning check-in brings it up a few days ahead.
- viiKeeping what matters. The stories, the recipes, the things worth writing down before they are gone from your head.
What you get
- iA ready-made notebook for your computer, already organised.
- iiA guided setup: your assistant interviews you, then writes its own instructions to fit your life.
- iiiPlain-English setup guides for Windows and Mac. No technical skills needed.
- ivEight ground rules built in, including: it never sends anything to anyone without you seeing it first, and it goes gently when you are overwhelmed. Facts without a scold, one step at a time.
- vA morning and evening routine that takes a few minutes.
Setup takes about an hour.
What it will not do
- iIt will not message anyone for you. You always press send.
- iiIt will not do anything while you are not there.
- iiiIt is not magic. It is a filing cabinet with a helpful person sitting next to it.
- ivIt will sometimes be wrong. It is built to say "I am not sure" out loud.
We keep this part big on purpose. A product that's honest about its edges is easier to trust.
Built around how memory actually works
Not ours. Yours.
You will not remember the date. You will remember the leak in the back bedroom. So the notebook teaches one small habit and nothing else: put the date first, then a few words you will actually go looking with.
2026-09-21 - the leak in the back bedroom 2026-09-21 - insurance renewal, the confusing bit 2026-10-02 - what Sam said about the shed
The date puts them in order without you thinking about it. The words are what find them again. Your assistant reads those names too, which is why "what was that thing about the back bedroom?" works.
It is a filing habit, not a trick. Four seconds each time, and it is the difference between a folder you can search and a folder you avoid opening.
One bite at a time
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Your assistant learns four plain phrases. Say "eat the elephant" when a job is too big to hold in your head. Say "first bite" and it gives you one step, only one. "Next bite" gets the next step of the same job. The job stays open until you say "that's that."
The hard part of a big job is rarely the work. It is being handed nine steps at once and losing your place at step three. This way you never hold the plan. You just take the next bite.
The number
Every copy is issued in order, and the number is yours. It arrives with your download, and it is yours to keep.
There is no member count on this page and there will not be one. A number is something you are given. It is not a scoreboard, and the moment it becomes one we would be tempted to inflate it.
What it costs
$59 USD, once. Paying from Canada? Your bank converts it to Canadian dollars at its own rate and may add its own fee.
No monthly fee from us. It runs on free tools: Obsidian, the notebook, is free, and the assistant is Claude, from Anthropic, which has a free plan. The free plan works: you paste or attach your notes and save the results into your notebook yourself. Claude's Cowork feature, which can open your notebook folder and save notes into it for you, is on the paid plans only (Pro or higher). If you hit the free plan's limit, you wait for it to reset, or upgrade if you would rather not wait. As of September 2026, Claude Pro costs $20 US a month, or $17 a month paid yearly; that choice is yours, you pay Anthropic directly, and we get none of it. Check claude.com/pricing for today's price.
Having someone set all this up for you costs thousands. This is the do-it-yourself version.
Your notes stay yours: ordinary files on your own computer that you can open without us, forever.
Not ready yet?
Leave your email and I will send you 10 percent off, plus a short note when there is something worth telling you. Nothing else, and you can stop it in one click any time.
Express consent, in plain words: you are asking for a discount code and occasional notes from Never Lose the Plot. Every message carries an unsubscribe link that works.
US dollars, once.
Sold in Canada and the United States only, for now.
All sales are final, because it is a download and it arrives the moment you pay. So please read what it does and does not do first. If something in the guides does not work the way it is described, write to us and we will help.
Never Lose the Plot. Plot your map.
Get the kitWhere will you be buying from?
We are selling in Canada and the United States to begin with.
Not yet where you are.
Right now this is only sold in Canada and the United States, because of the tax registrations selling elsewhere would need. That is a real limit and not a brush-off.
If you would like to hear the day it opens where you are, write to [email protected] and say where you are. That is all we will use it for.
You will need a Windows or Mac computer, an internet connection, and a Claude account. The free plan works, with you saving the results into your notebook yourself; Cowork, which saves for you, needs a paid plan. You can make an account during setup.
Best on a Mac or Windows computer, where Claude can file for you. On an iPad, Claude reads what you attach and helps you write, and you paste the results in yourself.
Where your $59 goes
I'm not a big company, and I'm not rich. I'm one guy in Canada with ADHD and a few small businesses on the go. I built this kit because I needed it, and it worked.
I've let people down by being inconsistent. I made this kit so that I can be a more consistent person with my loved ones, especially my daughters.
So here's where your money goes. Most of it goes back into ads, so the kit can find the next person who's losing the plot the way I was. The rest helps me help others find their inner artist, and fill the world with art and music.
You pay once, and the kit is yours. No subscription, no upsell.
One person gets their footing, then helps the next. A splash becomes a tidal wave. Thanks for being part of it.
Everything I do is for my daughters. Everything.
After you buy
Humans first, and respect for everyone, human or not. I made this kit, I use it, and I am still building it.
I keep improving it. When I learn something that makes the kit better, I update it. The changelog shows every change in plain English, including which files changed. Your own notes are never touched. The current version is 1.2, and you can check it on that page any time.
You choose whether to hear about it. Use the link in your download email if you want me to tell you when it is updated. Nothing else, ever. Skip it and I will not contact you.
Your notes are yours. They are plain files on your own device. They keep opening whatever happens to me, to this website, or to any AI company. The routines need an AI assistant to run; the notes do not.
If I ever stop building this on Claude, for personal, ethical or moral reasons, everyone who used that link will hear it from me, with my reasons, and there will be a notice on this site for everyone.
I read every email: [email protected].
Who made this
I work with two AI assistants every day, and half the time I reach the answer while I'm still waiting on them. That's the point. They hold the details, and I stay in charge. I made this to show that AI can be used in a positive way, without being directive or intrusive, and without taking anyone's job. For me it's a bridge to something bigger: restoring this world to the magic we remember.
